World Blood Donor Day 2026 Celebrated with National Recognition of Lifesaving Donors
The National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) proudly celebrated World Blood Donor Day 2026 under the theme:“One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Give Plasma. Save Lives.” The national commemorative ceremony was held with the participation of over 1,000 blood donors, healthcare professionals, government officials, development partners, and well-wishers from across Sri Lanka, recognizing the invaluable contribution of voluntary blood and plasma donors who help save thousands of lives each year.
